Travellers exibition opens in Munich
Munich, November 29, 2007
– Travelers is
the tile of the exhibition of works of three Roma artists that was opened on
November 29 in the Galerie Steinle in Munich. Featured are Daniel Baker, Delaine LeBas and Damian LeBas, all from the UK and all represented at Paradise
Lost-The First Roma Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale.
The Artist Talk that was
organized in the Munich’s Haus Der Kunst prior to the opening, on November 28,
was attended to full capacity. In the words of participants, the evening was „a
tremendous success“ (Delaine Le Bas), with films from the Pavilion shown and
the discussion going on till late into the evening, outside of the official
program.
The Private View of the
exhibition that was organized in the afternoon hours on the 29th was well attended, many people from the
evening before came to actually see the works after seeing them at the
presentation.
Dr. Bernhard Schwenk, curator of contemporary art, gave a
personal tour to Pinakothek Der Moderne to the three artists.
The exhibition is open till January 31.
