Young audience - students, intellectuals, families - both Roma and non-Roma, spontaneously sang and danced to Romanian and international Roma music played by the 18-piece ensemble.
A solo performed by the band’s leader Damian Draghici, the world-renown panflute Virtuoso, was the climax of the performance, greeted by rapturous applause and standing ovations.
In the audience were representatives of the City of Venice and its Cultural Councilor, which, together with the Roma Pavilion, sponsored the performance as part of Cultural Cont@mination 2007- Si Rom Festival.
At the beginning of the show the Director of MediaCulture, producer of the festival, thanked Paradise Lost for bringing Damian and Brothers to Venice and invited the audience to visit The First Roma Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
