Venice,
October 2007 -- The
round table Paradise-Lost or Under
Construction?, organized by the European Cultural
Foundation, was held on Monday, September 17th in The First
Roma Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
In front
of some 40 guests,
participants in the discussion were Katia Anguelova, independent curator based in Milan and born in Bulgaria; Daniel Baker, sociologist, artist
whose artwork is included in Paradise Lost, Chair
of the UK Gypsy Council and editor of The HUB, the newsletter of the Gypsy
Council; Silvina
Der-Meguerditchian, curator of the Armenian Diaspora exhibition at the 52nd Venice Biennale; Annie Fletcher,
independent critic and curator from Amsterdam; Timea Junghaus, curator of the
exhibition Paradise
Lost; Guido
Tintori, resident researcher at Turin's International and European
Forum on Migration Research, a member of the Network of International
Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe, funded by the European
Commission; and Gottfried
Wagner, Director of the European Cultural Foundation.
