For centuries, the romantic, exotic image of Roma with tambourines was produced. This exhibition appears as a part of an ongoing change in paradigm, which sends a message that neither Roma nor their creations are exotic subjects – said Timea Junghaus, the curator. The objective of the Pavilion is to redraw the Roma image, to destroy the stereotypes, and to show the Roma who are proud to declare that they are Roma
