London, November 10, 2007 -- A panel on portrayal of Roma in the media will be held in the Frontline Club in London on November 16. More

Network of Roma university centers established
Venice-Budapest, October 17, 2007 -- Over 40 representatives of academia, civil society and government took part in the seminar Embracing the future: Identity, culture and artistic expression in education of Roma children organized by the Roma Education Fund and The First Roma Pavilion.

The seminar focused on the ways that culture and artistic expression can be used in the education of Roma children as to build a positive cultural identity. A European network of Roma university centers was established at the meeting.

Romanian Roma tunes rock Venice
Venice, October 20, 2007 -- Over 250 guests in a packed Teatro del Parco, a theater/concert hall popular among the residents of Venice-Mestre, enjoyed the music of the Romanian Gypsy band Damian and Brothers on October 19. More

Serbian Rock‘n‘Roma in Venice
Venice, November 2007 -- Cultural Cont@mination 2007- Si Rom Festival, a co-production by The First Roma Pavilion and the Cultural Councilor of the City of Venice, will close with a concert of the Serbian Gypsy band Kal on November 15. More

Roma-Kunst exhibition in Munich
Munich, November 2007 -- Three of the artists presented in Paradise Lost-The First Roma Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art will be featured in an exhibition in Munich later this month. More

Roma Pavilion Award for Young Critics
In October this year the Roma Pavilion announced the Award for Young Curators and Art Critics. Applications received by November 30 will be reviewed by Barnabas Bencsik, Silvina Der-Meguerditchian, Annie Fletcher, Beral Madra and Marina Grzinic. More
