This two–day seminar will touch upon the important issue of culture and artistic expression in the education of Roma children as a way to build a positive cultural identity for Roma. Most of the existing efforts in this area are limited to history, language and folk art, and only a few expose Roma children and adolescents to contemporary art, music, dance, literature and new media. The seminar aims to bring together university centers, government representatives, research and cultural centers, and discuss how they could incorporate this broader perspective into their work.

This is an event by invitation.
